Kasteelconcerten en Video-podcasts || start serie 2021<\/h3>\n

Online concerten uitgevoerd op historische fortepiano\u2019s door bekende fortepianisten, zoals Olga Pashchenko, Pieter-Jan Belder, Ursula D\u00fctschler, Tullia Melandri, Tae-Young Kim en vele anderen.\u00a0Zij vertellen over de werken, waarvan u gaat genieten. En over die bijzondere piano\u2019s uit de tijd van Beethoven, die hun eigen klankkleur hebben.\u00a0Opgenomen met medewerking van Geldersch Landschap & Kasteelen en Natuurmonumenten.\u00a0<\/p>\n

De 10e<\/sup> editie van het Geelvinck Festival zet op basis van het door Michael Tsalka reeds in 2019 geformuleerde concept ‘Beethoven, his circle, and their vital role in the reinvention of the romantic fortepian<\/em>o’ in met de serie ‘Beethoven en de Romantiek’. Zo programmeerden wij Beethovens ‘Eroica’ (Op. 55) in het arrangement voor vierhanden door Czerny. Deze baanbrekende compositie wordt gezien als het eerste grote werk, dat de Romantiek als muziektrend inluidt. Het wordt uitgevoerd door Duo Pleyel: Richard Egarr en Alexandra Nepomnyashchaya op een fortepiano gebouwd door Conrad Graf.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Beethoven bezat en leende gedurende zijn leven tenminste veertien fortepiano’s van pianobouwers als Walter, Moser, Schanz, Broadwood, Erard en Graf, alsmede diverse van het echtpaar Streicher-Stein. Uit zijn composities is de ontwikkeling van de muzikale mogelijkheden, die deze opeenvolgende piano’s bieden, duidelijk af te leiden.<\/p>\n

Zijn nauwe amicale relatie met onder meer de familie Stein, later Streicher-Stein, heeft de technische ontwikkeling van de fortepiano aangejaagd, zowel wat betreft het mechaniek (o.a. vergroting van de klavieromvang en technische innovaties), als de verandering van de klankkleur.<\/p>\n

De impact op de ontwikkeling van de muziekstroming van de Romantiek als gevolg van de invloed, die Beethoven had op zijn studenten en vriendenkring, zoals Ries, Czerny en Moscheles, is breed en werd dan ook door tijdgenoten en generaties na hem terecht onderkend. Zijn invloed werkt daarmee tot in de 20e<\/sup> eeuw door, temeer vanwege de door Beethoven ingezette innovatieve benadering van de piano, die door volgende generaties van componisten werd voortgezet. Grote componisten na hem, zoals Chopin en Liszt, zijn daarmee aan Beethoven schatplichtig.<\/p>\n

Tevens programmeerden wij de Gro\u00dfe Sonate f\u00fcr das Hammerklavier<\/em> (Op. 106) uit 1818, Beethovens werk, dat wellicht \u00e9\u00e9n van de meest technisch moeilijke solopartijen heeft binnen het klassieke repertoire. Hij gaf daarbij specifieke aanwijzingen voor het gebruik van de ‘una corda’, een technische mogelijkheid van de toenmalige fortepiano (specifiek pedaal), die op de moderne vleugel ontbreekt. Olga Pashchenko voert dit waanzinnig moeilijke stuk uit op een vleugel van de hand van Conrad Graf, vergelijkbaar met het instrument gebouwd door Graf (nu in het Beethovenhaus Bonn), dat Beethoven indertijd ter beschikking had.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
